Yongzheng Blue and White Pair of Porcelain Saucers.
Chinese 18th century pair of straight sided deep sided saucers made during the early part of the reign Yongzheng circa 1730. Made at the kilns at Jingdezhen.
The pair of saucers are intricately painted with a geometric design to the rim and sides and a scholar's jardinière to the centre which is planted with bonsai bamboo, pine and grasses.
To the back the saucers are painted with a six-character Cheng H'ua mark inside a double circle, to honour not to deceive. This is an apocryphal mark. There are also scattered flower heads.
This type and pattern were more usually in sort paste porcelain these are hard paste so more unusual.
Excellent pair.
