Kangxi Very pale Celadon Incised Charger.

Chinese 17th century circa 1660 deep carved charger with a very pale celadon almost white glaze.

The body under the glaze is carved to show a large lotus spray to the bottom of the charger.  The sides and edges are also incised with Chrysanthemums and Peonys.   There are bands of tendrils with key fret design as well.

The piece although very pale celadon was made at Jingdezhen.

The very subtle glaze and colour pool in the pattern.

To the base is a paper label for the London dealer Hugh Moss and a facsimilia of the original invoice is available.

From a private west Yorkshire collection which was bought in the 1970's - 1980's.
