A small mahogany cased explorer's pocket compass, having a lid with twin diamond shaped brass hinges. The lid has an exterior brass catch that opens to expose the circular compass card divided into degrees and showing all the points of the compass. The needle is held in place by a stop arm when the lid is closed. The whole is in good order and working condition.
