J Collins & Son is a family-run business based in the North Devonshire town of Bideford. The company has been trading in English furniture for four generations.
The firm was established around 1910 and had it's original premises in Harrow. It was the grandfather of the present proprietor, Jonathan Biggs, who moved the business to Bideford in 1953.
Jonathan Biggs took over the business in 2005, from his parents, John and Pamela. In 2008, he oversaw the firm's move to its present premises at Charles Avenue, Bideford.

J Collins & Son’s stock includes a large selection of between 300 and 400 items of treen and wooden bygones.
J Collins & Son also offer clients a restoration facility for antique furniture and oil paintings
Fairs
Current proprietor Jonathan Biggs has worked in the family business since leaving school. In addition to The British Antique Dealers Association, Jonathan is also a member of fellow trade bodies LAPADA and CINOA.
J Collins & Son are regular exhibitors at the Shepton Mallet Fairs, the Westpoint at Exeter Fairs and Builth Wells Fairs
