A rare small ash stool, possibly given as a love token, owing to the open design in the top as often found in Welsh love spoons. The top, with rounded ends, is raised on octagonal splayed legs and the whole is of most attractive proportions, having a pleasing colour, grain and patination.

Welsh Circa 1870.
