Antique Ash Stool of the Georgian Period.

A most attractive and tactile child's ash stool, having four finely turned splayed wedged legs. The edge of the solid rectangular top originally had an incised line, which has almost disappeared, owing to wear. The underside has faint circular clamp marks, so it was also used for sewing. The whole has a lovely grain, colour and patination.

English Circa 1800.
