An exceptionally good Welsh oak spoon rack, having a full length vertical backboard that has a fretted top with pierced hearts etc., above two shaped channel moulded shelves with rounded ends, each with six shaped apertures for spoons, making twelve in all. These are above a full width lidded box with cut out fretted sides, ideal for keeping other items of cutlery. The base is carved with the initials W.P. The whole is in good condition, with a base moulding, and has a good rich colour, a pleasing grain and retains a patination.
