A mahogany stick barometer by Lloyd of Bridgnorth in full working condition, having a shaped pediment with a central pineapple brass finial above a brass engraved register plate (originally silvered), and with a thermometer and adjustable sliding setting pointer. The visable mercurial tube is set within a crossbanded mahogany case, edged with holly and boxwood stringing, with a circular mahogany ring turned removable cover, enclosing the glass cistern. The whole has a good colour and patination.
