A rare Elizabeth I boarded oak chest, West Country, circa 1600.

Having a one-piece and double-reeded top, the front carved with facing wyverns and centred by a green man mask, chip-carved bands above and below, the sides descending to pointed ogee-arched cut-away supports, with key.
