A Charles II joined oak double-panel back open armchair, circa 1660.

The back of two upright panels, below a double scroll-outlined and lightly gauge-carved cresting with integral run-moulded, dog-tooth and flowerhead punched-decorated top rail, with conforming decoration to the central back upright, boarded seat with moulded front edge, downswept arms also with punched-decoration, raised on slightly bulbous columnar-turned front supports, conforming front legs joined all round by plain stretchers.
