Chinese 18th century rare pair of Lotus cups made during the reign of the Emperor Qianlong at Jingdezhen for export to Europe.
These are moulded and delicately painted to look like opening lotus flowers balanced on leaves and small branches.
The decoration is all in over glaze paints with a paling a subtlety to the decoration.
they are beautiful and excellent moulding and decoration
David S Howard in Choice of the Private Trader no 163 is a tea pot which in colour and form would be related although a little later to this type
