Chinese early 18th century famille verte fluted tea bowl and saucer made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi at the kilns at Jingdezhen for export to Europe.
The saucer is painted to show a pair of Golden pheasant one perched on rockwork the other 'flying' with flowers around the rockwork
The sides are painted with panels of various butterflies and birds including a red headed crane. All the panels including various auspicious flowers
The bowl is painted in panels to the outside with flowers and to the inside the rim is painted with scrolling foliage but to the bottom there is a golden pheasant which is an unusual image to the inside
The underside painted with the Ju mark representing Jade to the both the bowl and saucer and both also have scrolling flowers and foliage.
Bowl is 8.5cm in diameter and saucer 13.5cm diameter
