The painting shows Kui Xing - The god of Examinations - running after some books while holding a brush and ingot. The books are floating in a celestial constellation and another smaller group further round
Kui Xing is running over a rocky terrain
The base is slightly convex with a recessed medallion to the centre. There is a painted red inscription in traditional chinese
