An imperial gilt-copper mounted Beijing enamel and ruby-red glass bird feeder, of barrel form, the transparent glass body with circular aperture to the top, each side mounted with Beijing-enamelled circular medallions, painted with central shou characters within ruyi heads and multicoloured entwined ruyi scrolls and pink bats in flight, all on pale turquoise grounds, framed by gilt-copper mounts decorated with running bands of scrolling flowers.
