A good Charles I boarded and joined oak and elm mural cupboard, Gloucestershire, circa 1630.

The front profusely and proficiently carved, the single door panel designed with an addorsed and whorl-filled heart motif, flanked by single tulip-stem carved uprights, the top rail lunette-carved, single shelf interior.

Literature: For a very similar cupboard, almost certainly from the same workshop, see Victor Chinnery, 'Oak Furniture: The British Tradition' (2016), p. 285, fig. 3:295.
