The Chinese Export porcelain famille rose cachepot or wine cooler is of a particularly large and unusual size. It is of cylindrical form with an inverted shell handle to each side. There is a grouping of bamboo and peony plants to each side, and at the rim are large lappet shaped panels with dramatic brown swirls overlaid with famille rose flowers and leaves. Tiny chip repaired.
