Chinese Export Porcelain Blue and White Massive Dish,
Circa 1770
The massive underglaze blue and white Chinese Export dish is painted with a garden scene with flowering plants growing in the ground and on rockwork. The scene is centered with a zig-zag fence. The central well has a border of stylized leaves forming a diamond-shaped design and the outer wider border at the rim is painted with flowers and fruits entwined around a thick bamboo stem.
Dimensions: 16 3/4 inches wide x 14 1/2 inches deep (42.5 cm wide x 27 cm deep).
