A fine Antique Silver George I period Sugar Caster made in 1726 by Samuel Welder of London. This lovely sugar caster is in excellent condition and has the original owners initials engraved to the lower part of the body on one side. The top is finely pierced and the caster has a bell shape finial. Samuel Welder was a specialist caster maker and only made cruets and casters. The caster is well hallmarked underneath and correctly part marked on the lid.
