Whieldon-type Lead-glazed Tortoise-shell Creamware Large Puzzle Jug,
Circa 1765-85.
The Whieldon-type creamware jug with loop handle and a band of pierced holes to the neck with three hollow spouts to the rim above. The decoration a variation of a tortoise-shell design in browns over a creamware body and plain creamware interior. Bands of green can be seen below the brown. Two spouts invisible conserved off/on.
Dimensions: 8 inches high x 6 1/2 inches wide across handle x 5 inches deep.
