A fine Llanelly pottery cockerel plate with blue sponge decorated border. These primitive and vibrantly decorated plate are the work of Sara Jane Roberts, she has now appreciated as a folk artist with a unique distinctive style. It is thought that Sarah, also know as Aunt Sal was left handed and produced all the cockerel plates from the pottery.
