A fine and rare Wedgwood caneware mug, c. 1800. The body sprigged with reliefs of Putti returning from the hunt, with a stag, between trees. The mug moulded to the base, with bands of bamboo, the handle modelled as three lengths of bamboo.
Impressed lower case ‘Wedgwood’, and number ‘5’.
Height - 11.4 cm, 4 1/2”.
Diameter - 8.5 cm, 3 3/8”.
Condition - Perfect. No damage. No restoration.
