Simply designed Victorian silver gilt child's set.
Maker: Francis Higgins. London 1868.
Initials and the date '7th July 1872' are elaborately inscribed on the handles of each piece.
The full set of hallmarks and maker's mark are clearly stamped on the reverse of the stems.
There are varied alternative uses for this set, the knife would make an excellent butter knife and the fork and spoon would make versatile serving pieces.
