Delightful and highly decorative Victorian silver-gilt mounted glass aesthetic movement design cream jug.
Maker: Frederick Elkington. London 1882.

The silver-gilt rim is clearly stamped with the makers mark and the full set of hallmarks. It is also engraved with fish swimming with aquatic plants. The body of the jug is made of crackling glass decorated with an enamelled fish, plants and reeds. This jug is highly illustrative of Elkingtons skill in mixing media and design and would be a talking point on any table. It would make an excellent gift.

Height: 3 inches (7.62cm)
Width: 2.5 inches (6.35cm)
