A very rare George III silver mounted Red Moroccan Leather Penner made circa 1790.
The Penner has a red Moroccan leather case with silver upper bands and a vacant oval cartouche The hinged cover opens up to reveal a removable silver pen, with nib, and a domed cover which, when unscrewed, reveals the ink reservoir.
This example is one of the finest of its type we have offered. A very desirable piece in excellent original condition.
