Very rare Chinese export porcelain pair of laying down lapdogs decorated with grey splashes on the biscuit, c. 1770, Qianlong reign, Qing dynasty, length 18 cm, 7½ in. 7-15339.
Literature: Chinese and Japanese Works of Art in the Collection of Her Majesty the Queen, by J. Ayers, 2016 London, vol. 1, p. 321 for a similar pair of lapdogs but mounted with a candlestick, dated second half 18thcentury.
非常少見的中國外銷瓷小狗臥像一對,未施釉的胎上有灰色點綴,約1770年,清乾隆,長18釐米,7½英吋。
