An unusual Japanese porcelain blue and white jar with inner stopper (19th Century).

A rare example of a 19th century Japanese blue and white ginger jar with original cover and inner stopper with decorative peach knop.

The vase itself decorated with flowing images of large blossoming peonies and swaying grasses. The neck with a border made up of many patches of patterns reminiscent of textile patterns.
