An unusual triangular shaped Japanese satsuma bowl, the outer with decoration of fine fan shaped floral panels on an unusual dark green ground with golden celestial clouds and floral highlights, interspaced with red and floral strips resembling Obi kimono belts.
The inner decoration utilises the unusual shape, splitting the design into three distinct ‘rooms’ one with classical florals the other two appear to show a crowd of well dressed nobles, the last a group of wealthy men in a lavish interior playing some sort of game with colourful pieces of paper
