A rare late Tudor English oak counter table. Circa 1580.
The plain well patinated hinged top above a three panelled front. The two outer panels carved with enriched parchemin, centred by a double s.scrolled panel with floral rosettes, above a shaped carved apron centred by a cross. Unlike most Tudor counter tables this example has moulded tapered legs. Good colour and patination.
