A superb form Toad snuff box in Walnut. Carved surface all over to imitate a Toads rough skin. Very good face with original glass eyes. The flap to the cavity being on the underside with an original tiny brass hinge. Shuts tight and perfectly. Overall a very good, original and untouched snuff box of excellent colour and patina. Very tactile. Circa 1830-40.
