A striking mid-16th century tapestry panel, circa 1530-50.
Worked in coloured wools, designed all over with a fruiting vine, pomegranates, apples, pears, a gourd, roses, daffodil and iris on a rich madder coloured ground, framed and glazed.
Provenance: Roger Warner, Burford, Oxfordshire. Mr Warner believed the panel to be English.
