A cushion of late 17th century tapestry.
The tapestry panel designed as a floral band, woven in wool and silk in shades of green, blue, umber, ochre and rust, set between panels of indigo-dyed cotton velvet, backed with a 19th century pale stone coloured linen, filled with pure British wool, sewn closed. Areas of stitched repair.
Provenance: Knights Hall, Winkfield, Berkshire.
