Staffordshire pottery Greyhound and Harrier group, circa 1850.

Staffordshire pottery group of a Greyhound, and a Harrier, Thomas Parr factory, circa 1850. One of the most charming Staffordshire pottery groups, depicting an elegant, seated Greyhound, and a recumbent Harrier. Set upon an oval grassy mound base.

Height – 15.3 cm, 6”.

Width – 14cm, 5 1/2”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.

Ref – A-Z of Staffordshire Dogs, Clive Mason Pope, Figure 6, P. 69, where he refers to the group as ‘Elegance and Patience’.
