A pair of imposing Staffordshire pottery figures of Saint Paul and Peter modeled standing on plinths named PETERUS AND PAULUS.Peter and Paul are joint patrons of Rome and consequently are often paired together. The quality of enameling and detail of modeling are exceptional as is often the case with pieces with religious context. Attributed to the master potter Ralph Wood dating the late 18th century period.
