Spode Pearlware Dessert Service with Grapes.

Circa 1820.

The seventeen piece Spode pearlware dessert service is printed in a light blue and the leaves are painted in shades of green and brown with fruiting grapevine.  Each plate is decorated with vibrantly colored clusters of grapes, leaves and tendrils.  The edges of the pieces with a brown line.

The Service consists of seventeen pieces:
A pair of sauce tureens, covers and stands,
A pair of square dishes (one A/F)
One Shell-shaped dish
Twelve dessert plates

There is some loss to the brown rim on some of the pieces.

Dimensions:
Tureens: 7 inches high x 7 3/4 inches wide x 4 1/2 inches deep;
Plates: 8 1/16 inches diameter;
Tazza: 8 inches high x 8 3/4 inches square,
Square dishes: 7 1/2 inches x 7 3/4 inches;
Shell-shaped dish: 8 1/4 inches x 7 1/2 inches.

There is some loss to the brown rim on some of the pieces. One square dish has been broken.
