A splendid, large pair of Henry VIII oak portrait panels, circa 1530.
Undoubtedly husband and wife, the accomplished high-relief carving strong in design, each depicted in profile bust, he with a superb beard and feathered cap, his spouse with tasselled headdress and both lavishly and fashionably dressed in doublet and bodice within a wreath, framed, dimensions including frame height 78cm, width 54.8cm, (2)
