A Fine Quality Regency Period Mahogany Drum Table Of Unusually
Small Proportions Having Superbly Figured & Crossbanded Circular
Revolving Top Above Four Frieze Drawers And Four False Drawers
Raised On Turned And Carved Central Column With Triform Base
And Elegant Scrolling Feet
(An elegant and good quality example of its type this is smaller than
most centre tables whilst still being larger than most occasional or
lamp tables. It is an unusual, but lovely, feature that it has retained its
wooden top, the majority of these that you see would be leather, but this
is well figured with attractive cross banding. The column is also
very elegant and the carving extremely crisp showing that it has clearly
been executed in a very good workshop hence the rest of the overall
quality. The condition is excellent and it is ready to be immediately used
in whatever environment required.)
