Early 19th Century Apple Wood Lidded Urn.
A most attractive and well turned apple wood lidded urn, having a fitted lid with concentric stepped turnings, that is surmounted with a conforming finial. The base of the urn sits on a bladed knob with a concave stem, terminating in a stepped, rounded and ring turned base. The whole has an excellent rich colour, grain and patination.
