A Mid 19th Century Champagne Knife and Brush, having a shaped steel blade stamped Farrow & Jackson, with a serrated edge and with a further sharp blade at the end. It is fitted with a brass collar to a shaped rosewood handle that has reeded decoration, allowing for a firm grip when removing the wires from the cork and a small brush at the end for cleaning purposes. Farrow & Jackson were well known for the quality of the items they produced, based at 16 Tower Street, London E.C.1 and becoming a private limited company in 1897.
