A rare and most tactile late 18th century Welsh sycamore pap spoon, used by young children and having a chunky handle to hold, while learning to feed themselves. Pap is any soft easily consumed food that is usually home made for babies and young children. The whole has an excellent colour and patination.

Provenance: Desborough Collection.
