19th Century Pine Flour Barrel.
A most useful lidded staved pine flour barrel of tapered and coopered construction, held together with ash bands that are stapled with overlapping joins. It has a paper scene of ladies with a child and a gentleman in a park and has an ash swing handle and fitted lid. The whole has a pleasing colour and patination.
