Early 19th Century Wall Mounted Welsh Oak Candle Box.

A small Welsh oak open candle box, having a shaped backboard with a suspension hole, so it can be wall mounted or just as happy sitting on a shelf or mantle piece. The box is of nailed construction and has a front wavy edge. The whole has a good colour and grain and retains a patination.

Provenance: from a Welsh private collection.
