18th Century Spiral Metal Candlestick.
A good example of a late 18th century spiral candlestick, having a traveller for adjusting the height of the candle and a hook for carrying or hanging. The spiral is seated on a circular sloping ash base with a vertical foot, that has a dark rich colour and ancient patination.
