Early 19th Century Adjustable Mahogany Table Top Book Rest.
A good quality early 19th century solid mahogany table top adjustable book rest of traditional form, having a frame that is raised on a turned support with a brass thumb screw for adjusting the angle, which is seated on a flat base with a stepped and moulded edge. It is made of well grained Cuban mahogany and is of excellent quality and workmanship, having a rich colour and patination.
