19th Century Mahogany Pair of Bellows Snuff Box.
A good mahogany snuff box in the form of a pair of bellows, of which the front has brass pique lettering which reads 'Forget Me Not'. The sides and back also have brass pique decoration. On the back there is a sliding lid to gain access to the snuff, which has a stop pin to the underside, to stop it coming right out and possibly becoming lost. The whole is well carved and has a good rich colour and patination.
English Circa 1840.
