Early 19th Century Cherry Wood Candle Box.

A most attractive Welsh wall mounted cherry wood candle box of traditional form, having a raised protruding backboard with a rounded top, that is decorated with seven circular holes surrounding a shaped suspension hole for wall hanging. The vertical sliding lid is within a rounded protruding edge. The whole, of dovetailed construction, has a lovely rich colour, as often found with cherry wood items and has attained a natural patination.
