Late Victorian Tunbridge Ware Jewellery Box.
A rosewood lidded jewellery box inlaid with Tunbridge Ware decoration, having a top with perspective cube work and intricate miniature parquetry bands on both the top and sides. It is fitted with a key and the lid has a brass lock and hinges, which opens to reveal the original mauve silk on the lid and later velvet lining on the base. The whole has a pleasing rich colour and patination.
