An interesting late 19th century hardwood cricket cage of circular form, having a ring turned fitted pierced lid. The base is also pierced with oval vertical windows and is on a slightly protruding foot. Crickets were kept to amuse people with their singing. The whole has a pleasing colour and retains a patination.
Indian / Burmese Circa 1880.
