A rare small 19th century yew wood spice tower, inscribed on its original oval label, 'A Trifle from Brighton'. The two sections have a protruding double lid with a screw thread ball finial above two screw compartments for spices and a small stepped foot. It has a lovely grain, colour and patination, as often found in yew wood items.
