An attractive circular Dutch turned and staved tobacco jar, having alternate vertical bands of birch and mahogany. The mahogany body, of baluster form, has a fitted and turned stepped lid with a tall ebonised shaped finial, terminating in a small bone ball. The whole has a good rich colour and patination.
