A most desirable bronze 16th/17th century twin handled cooking pot (cauldron), having a flared rim. The ovoid body, fitted with a loop handle to either side, has scroll terminals and is cast in two parts. It has a flash line running down the side and across the bottom. The whole has a lovely colour and patination.
